Недавно был пост про Джулса из Криминального Чтива в стилистике Вахи. Я вдохновился и пеефигачил всю сценку из комнаты Бретта. Знание Низкого Готика обязательно.


Inquisitor Julius: You, flock of heretics, you know why we're here? Why don't you tell my man Acolyte Vincentius where you got the heathen artifact hid at? 

Heretic Marvin: It's over th... 

Inquisitor Julius: I don't remember askin' you a God-Emperor damn thing! You were saying? 

Cultist Roger: It's in the cupboard. [Acolyte Vincentius starts looking in the upper cupboard] 

Cultist Roger: No, no, the one by your kn-knees. 

Inquisitor Julius: We happy? [Acolyte Vincentius continues staring at the briefcase's contents] 

Inquisitor Julius: Acolyte Vincentius! We happy? 

Acolyte Vincentius: Yeah, we happy, my lord. 

Cult leader Brettus: I'm sorry, I didn't get your name. I got yours, Acolyte Vincentius, right? But I didn't get yours... 

Inquisitor Julius: My name's Purge. And your heretic ass ain't talkin' your way out of this shit. 

Cult leader Brettus: No, no, I just want you to know... I just want you to know how sorry we are that things got so fucked up with us and Lord Inquisitor Marsellius. We got into this thing with the best intentions and I never... 

Inquisitor Julius: [Inquisitor Julius shoots the heretic on the couch] I'm sorry, did I break your concentration? I didn't mean to do that. Please, continue, you were saying something about best intentions. What's the matter? Oh, you were finished! Well, allow me to retort. What does Lord Inquisitor Marsellius look like? 

Cult leader Brettus: What? 

Inquisitor Julius: What segmentum are you from? 

Cult leader Brettus: What? What? Wh - ? 

Inquisitor Julius: "What" ain't no segmentum I've ever heard of. They speak Low Gothic in What? 

Cult leader Brettus: What? 

Inquisitor Julius: Low Gothic, daemonfucker, do you speak it? 

Cult leader Brettus: Yes! Yes! 

Inquisitor Julius: Then you know what I'm sayin'! 

Cult leader Brettus: Yes! Inquisitor Julius: Describe what Lord Inquisitor Marsellius looks like! 

Cult leader Brettus: What? 

Inquisitor Julius: Say 'what' again. Say 'what' again, I dare you, i double dare you, daemonfucker! Now tell me what does Lord Inquisitor Marsellius look like! 

Cult leader Brettus: He... he's wearing power armour... 

Inquisitor Julius: Go on... 

Cult leader Brettus: He's bald 

Inquisitor Julius: Does he look like a heathen heretic? 

Cult leader Brettus: What? 

Inquisitor Julius: [Shoots Cult leader Brettus in the shoulder] DOES HE LOOK LIKE A HEATHEN HERETIC? 

Cult leader Brettus: No! 

Inquisitor Julius: Then why you try to fuck him like a heathen heretic? 

Cult leader Brettus: I didn't... 

Inquisitor Julius: Yes you did. Yes you did! You tried to fuck him. And Lord Inquisitor Marsellius don't like to be fucked by anybody except Lady Inquisitor Argentia. Inquisitor Julius: "You read the Lectitio Divinatus, Brettus?" 

Cult leader Brettus: "Yes!" 

Inquisitor Julius: "Well, there's this passage I've got memorized that sort of fits this occasion. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of the evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of Holy God-Emperor of Mankind shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly an armoured gauntlet about His fist and the edge of His sword. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know that I am the end when I lay my vengeance upon thee!"

Народ Гуглил, Гуглил находил очень разные мнения по поводу Хронологической истории Warhammer... Кто может подсказать какой цикл стоит читать первым ? Я прочитал Ордо Ксенос, Ордо Маллеус, Ордо Еретикус из цикла Эйзенхорна , Рейвенор и возвращение Рейвенора, Титаникус и несколько мелких книг идущих с Титаникус в пачке там было около 25 страниц... плюс щас читаю Ересь хоруса в данный момент на 3ей книге ... Так вот сам вопрос есть ли цикл книг который описывает Само рождение Империума и поход Императора , основание Легионов и прочее ибо кусками вытаскиваю Инфу из Ереси хоруса как то не очень? P.S.[Сорри за ошибки и не соответствия]

I’ve been chatting with Riot for a little while and now they’ve offered me the position of Senior Narrative Writer in their Los Angeles offices. So, yeah, in the summer we’re leaving Nottingham and the UK and relocating to sunny California in the US of A.

This wasn’t a decision we took lightly. I enjoyed the work I was doing, where I was doing it and the way life revolved around our kids, friends, family, work, school and all the usual happenings that make up the everyday. We had Evan and Amber to think of, our own jobs and our house, our friends and families. We liked having all that close, and the idea of making such a life-changing upheaval was very scary. Far easier just to maintain the status quo, eh? In short, we were comfortable, but sometimes you need to change things up, to step out of your comfort zone, and I think we were all at that stage.

I first spoke with Riot back in December. I went over for an informal chat, not really knowing what to expect, but going in with an open mind. The people I met there were fantastic; full of passion and enthusiasm for what they were doing, and I came away feeling I’d had a real meeting of minds with the spirit of Riot’s creative heart. These were people who thrived on the sheer joy of creativity, where every avenue could be explored to see where it went. I came away tremendously excited at the possibility of working within those teams.

We went back over to California as a family in February so everyone could see LA and Santa Monica, to find out if it was a place we could see ourselves living and working. It most definitely was. And my second meeting with the creative types in Riot more than confirmed my desire to work with them. Their attitude to the work and the potential for all it offers in the future is incredible, which makes me tremendously excited about being part of it.

After some long, serious, grown-up talks about making the move, Anita and I came to the conclusion that the opportunities for our family were too incredible to pass up. It’s a life-changing adventure that’s going to be exciting and challenging all at the same time. It’s the kind of chance we had to snatch with both hands, as it’s the kind that doesn’t come around more than once. And I’d hate to look back in years to come with any kind of regret for the chances we didn’t take. So with a mixture of giggling excitement and trepidation at the thought of stepping into this brave new world, we’re getting packed up and looking west to this fresh phase of our future.

Ah, but what does this mean for all things Warhammer…?

Well, first and foremost, I’m a writer, so I’m not going to stop writing books any more than I’m going to choose to stop breathing. I’m still working on my current Horus Heresy novel, The Crimson King (I’ve just handed in the first half…) and will continue to write for the Black Library. Clearly my output will diminish, what with having a full time, salaried day job, but I’ll still be keeping my hand in. I have stories of Uriel Ventris yet to tell and the Battle for Macragge isn’t going to write itself. And, having been involved with the Horus Heresy series since its very opening act, I’ll be damned if I’m not going to show up for its final dramas and its curtain calls. Expect the odd quick read or audio to pop up here and there too. In short, I’m still going to keep you entertained with grim tales from the 41st Millennium, the Horus Heresy and beyond.

So, there you have it. As the summer dawns, Clan McNeill will be living it in California. Wish us well, and I’ll continue to talk to you all on Twitter, Facebook and e-mail.
