Dominick SlLVIUS Chapter Master of the Obsidian Hand Original character by (^jackduerden Fan art by Orniris Terensi After the devastating loss suffered by the chapter during the defence of their home world Gladius II, Dominick knew that due to the number of marine casualties suffered, for the time being, battles could no longer be fought with marines on the front lines. Understanding the value of the remaining marines, he took it upon himself to lead the Chapter into battle from the front lines across every engagement fought by the Obsidian Hand until fresh primaris battle brothers could reinforce his Chapter. This approach by Dominick proved priceless for the Obsidian Hand, as battlefield casualty rates dropped greatly, allowing the Chapter to survive during this time of weakness. However, it took a toll on Dominick as he had endured great punishment during these campaigns and had sustained multiple catastrophic injuries. Thankfully, a long-time ally of the Obsidian Hand, the Adeptus Mecha-nicus force known as the Evergreen forge, were willing to install an array of machinery into the Chapter Masters armour which accommodates his injuries and keeps him in a state fit to continue leading the Obsidian Hand.
