People know Miranda as that girl who always smiles and looks like she's living her best life, but it's only one of her masks. At one point in her life, she realized that if she will look like nothing bad ever happened, nobody will ask. If she will act as a clueless civilian, nobody will think she's something more than that, and it will keep her close ones safe. If nobody knows, she will have her safe space bubble. After every mission, she spends time at her master's headquarters, in cold and depersonalized so-called "personal rest room", trying to come to her senses, put on her happy face, and go live a few weeks of normal life. The world might be a terrible place. Countless threats appear faster than you can count. Madmen, daemons, fanatics, monsters, walking piles of worms wearing human skin as a costume to blend with the crowd. Despite her nightmares, Miranda would never give away this knowledge, even for blessed life of ignorance. Sanity is a small pay for not being a nameless victim anymore.
