The unique strength of their machines were the inbuilt teleportation conduit nodes which made them deployable faster than any other House in the Imperium. When a first tier tendril of Hive Fleet Ouroboros reached their Forge World Hadd the defense systems were quickly overrun by wave after wave of Tyanid Bio Constructs. House Diomedes fought the rearguard, loosing Knight after Knight to buy time. Everything seemed lost when a transmission from orbit reached the defenders. Inquisitor Kryptman had translated into the system on a Deathwatch strike cruiser and was leading a boarding action into the lair of the Norn Queen. House Diomedes volunteered to support this desperate strike. The Forge World was saved and as a sign of gratitude offered fifty Knight engines in fealty to the Ordo Xenos. Francisco de Nicuesa was annointed as Inquisitor the same day.
